Weekly letter from St Luke's - 15 April 2023

Dear Parish Friends This week we celebrate not the Sunday after Easter, but the Second Sunday of Easter, and we continue to celebrate Sundays of Easter all the way to Pentecost. So we continue to add 'Alleluia' throughout the liturgy as we read of Jesus' appearances to the first apostles. We are reminded that just as Jesus met with these men and women, assured them of his resurrection, and commissioned them for mission, Jesus still meets with us today as assures us that he, and his peace, are with us always. Our services are back to the usual times of 7am and 9am (with Zoom at 9am). At 9am we will also be welcoming Whitney Thomas for baptism; a very appropriate thing to do in this Easter season.
