Weekly letter from St Luke's - 1 August 2025

Dear Parish Friends

This weekend is the Parish Camp! If you are coming, you should have received joining instructions from Jenny O'Sullivan. I will lead a family service on camp on Saturday afternoon, where we look at the readings for the 8th Sunday after Pentecost - a reading from Psalm 107 and from Luke 12 and reflect on what truly endures. On Sunday at St Luke's we will keep the feast of St Stephen (which can either be on 26th December or 3rd August), remembering the first Christian martyr. 

As June and I will be on the parish camp, and will lead an early morning Eucharist there before returning to Brisbane, there will only be one service at St Luke's at 9am. This service will be streamed on Zoom as usual, but there will be no Children's Church this week. The service sheet for the 9am service and the week's Notice Paper are available via the links below.
