In this fifth Sunday of Easter we begin to look towards Pentecost and see that the Easter mystery truly inaugurated a new paradigm for the relationship between God and God's people. Speaking before his arrest Jesus tells the disciples that he is both going away, but also remaining with them, a promise that is fulfilled for both them and us in the gift of the spirit.
