Weekly letter from St Luke's - 13 February 2026

With Lent starting next week (pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, followed by the solemn liturgies of Ash Wednesday), this Sunday is the last Sunday after Epiphany on which we celebrate the Transfiguration. It is a fitting end to the season, which started with the magi following the light of the start to the infant Jesus. At the transfiguration, Jesus himself is clearly revealed as this light.

Our services on Sunday are as usual at 7am and 9am (with Children's Church and Zoom streaming). The weekly notices and the 9am service sheet are available via the menu "This Week".

A reminder that the Annual Meeting of the parish will be held on Sunday 22nd February at 10.30am in St Luke's Church. Nominations for the new Parish Council will close at 10.30am this Sunday, 15th February. The Annual Report Book will be available on Sunday in church and online.
