Dear Parish Friends

For the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost, we return to reading through the gospel of Luke, with the story of Jesus healing the man on the Gerasene hillside who 'had demons'. We might be uncomfortable with the words used here, and choose to interpret these in modern terms (an ADF chaplain I spoke to this week suggested that the man was a Veteran), but what is important in the account is that Jesus cared about someone whom the world feared. He brought a solution to a place where the world could not see a way. We pray for signs that Jesus, and those who follow him, will continue to do this.

Our services are as usual at 7am and 9am (also on Zoom). The 9am service will be one of our occasional  intergenerational family services, with our children playing a part in the running of the service.

Yours in Christ

Rev'd Timothy
