Weekly letter from St Luke's - 27th February 2026

Lent is a journey, and this year the readings set in the lectionary take us on two parallel journeys. The Old Testament readings tell the story of God's relationship with God's people through some key figures - Adam last week, Abraham this week - whilst the Gospel readings recount Jesus' revealing of his purposes, bringing about the new relationship between God and God's people, through people hat Jesus met - this week Nicodemus. As we read these two threads, we are immersed in God's good purposes for us and all creation.
Our services on Sunday are as usual at 7am and 9am (with Children's Church and Zoom streaming). During the season of Lent I encourage you to arrive for he service early for, at 5 minutes to the hour I will ring the church bell and invite you to a time of silent prayer and reflection before we sing our opening hymn. The weekly notices and the 9am service sheet are available via the buttons below.
With blessings,
Rev'd Timothy
