Weekly letter from St Luke's - 19 June 2026

In our gospel this week, we continue to read Jesus' instructions to his disciples whom he is sending our to participate in his mission. There are warnings here that they will meet opposition, but also the assurance that they go in the strength and under the loving care of God. The same promises and assurances apply to us. "Even the hairs of your head are counted", says Jesus, "so do not be afraid". (Matthew 10:30-31)

Our services are at the usual times on Sunday of 7am and 9am, with the 9am service including Children's Church and Zoom streaming. As usual the week's notice paper and 9am service sheet are available via the links below.

This weekend we are holding our parish fundraiser: "June's Jigsaw Jamboree". We have almost fifty jigsaws, new and pre-loved, that need a new home. Come and buy after the services on Sunday. If you can't make it to church then there are three specially selected lots that you can bid on by email - see here for details.

The St Luke's Theatre Society play 'Rope' concludes this weekend (7.30pm Friday, 2pm and 7.30pm Saturday). Book your tickets at www.stlukestheatre.asn.au or pay at the door.

With blessings,

Rev'd Timothy
