Dear Parish Friends

We move this week to 'Storm Sunday' in the season of creation. Here 'Storm' refers to the world of the weather, the gales, the lightning, the winds, the hurricanes, the downpours, and the tornados. But also we think of 'storm' as a place where God is revealed. Storms are events we celebrate in the weather cycle that sustains Earth as a living planet, but they are also events that frighten us and that are destructive of human and non-human life. We are aware that global warming has changed weather patterns around the world. increasing extreme weather patterns. Yet we are also aware of Jesus, who was surrounded by fierce forces of nature and humanity was present in both the storm and in the stillness after the storm.

Our services are as usual at 7am and 9am, with Zoom streaming at 9am. Children's Church is in recess for the School Holidays, but no note that children are always welcome at St Luke's and there will be a children's talk at the start of the 9am service. The service sheet for the 9am service and the week's Notice Paper are available via the links below.

Yours in Christ

Rev'd Timothy
