Weekly letter from St Luke's - 29 July 2023

Dear Parish Friends In our gospel passage this week we have five short parables about the Kingdom. What we see is that to describe the Kingdom of God is hard, even for someone like Jesus, as it is multifaceted, and beyond human language (be it Aramaic as Jesus spoke, Greek as Matthew wrote, or English as we read!). What we do see, however, from these parables in Matthew's gospel, is that wherever we look, if we look with eyes of faith, we will see evidence of God's Kingdom.
