Dear Parish Friends

On the second Sunday of Advent, our focus is on the preaching of John the Baptist, the voice in the wilderness proclaiming that the Kingdom of God is near. In his time it was a proclamation that the one for whom they had long waited was at hand. God was acting in a powerful way in creation through Jesus, and John had to tell everyone about it. It is a timely reminded for us as we wait in Advent for both the celebration of Jesus' first coming and in anticipation of his second, that we too should be compelled to tell everyone that indeed the kingdom of God is near.

This Sunday will be the last Children's Church at 9am until the school term starts again next year. But don't forget that there will be a Children’s Church party next Sunday (14th) at 4pm before the community sausage sizzle and our carol service. There will be family services on both Christmas Eve at 5pm and Christmas Day at 9am. And don't forget that there is always a children's talk at the 9am service.

Services on Sunday as as usual at 7am and 9am, with Zoom streaming at 9am. The weekly notice paper and 9am service sheet are available via the links below.

The first St Luke's Theatre play back on our campus, Sense and Sensibility, concludes this weekend - Friday at 7.30pm and Saturday 2pm and 7.30pmtonight (Friday). Because of the delay in obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy for our new hall, the performance will be in the church. Book now or miss out!

Yours in Christ

Rev'd Timothy
