Weekly letter from St Luke's - 5 September 2025

Dear Parish Friends

This week we start the 'season of creation' with Ocean Sunday. We reflect that oceans play an important role in all the creation stories we find in scripture (in Genesis, the Psalms and the book of Job), and indeed oceans, seas, and water in general is a sign of life. As we contemplate the book of creation, we also note that oceans play an important role in the origin of life on earth, and as a stabilising influence on the continued prosperity of our planet.

Our services are as usual at 7am and 9am, with Children’s Church and Zoom streaming (yes it has been fixed) at 9am. The service sheet for the 9am service and the week's Notice Paper are available via the links below.

Finally, if you are free tomorrow (Saturday) morning to help with the moving of items that have been in storage during the redevelopment, please meet at church at 9.30am.
