Weekly letter from St Luke's - 22 September 2023

Dear Parish Friends This is the final week in our celebration of the season of creation this year, and the focus is on rivers. We know that rivers are life sustaining, which is why they are used as images of the creation in the book of Genesis and the recreation in the book of Revelation. Jesus promised to give 'living water', which in Hebrew understanding was flowing, renewing, leading to growth. As we reflect on this, we also bring to mind places where we have not cared for the rivers of the world. Our services this weekend are 7am (Holy Communion) and 9am (family service with communion - also streamed on Zoom).
