    Weekly letter from St Luke's - 28 October 2021

Dear Parish Friends This Sunday is the fifth Sunday in October and so we will be holding the next of our special all-age service of praise and prayer at 9am with an augmented music group leading our singing and activities for young and old during the service (the children will remain in church with their families). This is an excellent opportunity to invite family and friends. The service will be streamed on Zoom as usual and there will not be communion. The order of service

    Weekly letter from St Luke's - 22 October 2021

Dear Parish Friends This Sunday is a busy day in the parish. We have our usual services at 7am and 9am, with the 9am service also streamed on Zoom (see links below for notice paper and 9m service sheet). Then at 2.30pm is our musical afternoon featuring the talented musicians from the parish. If you are coming bring a gold coin donation and some afternoon tea to share. Finally at 6pm we are all invited to join with other churches in the area for an ecumenical service at Ann

    Weekly Letter from St Luke's - 15th October 2021

Dear Parish Friends This Sunday we celebrate the feast of St Luke. This is a time to both look back at the heritage of our parish, especially giving thanks for those who have been part of St Luke's over the years, but also to look forward to the future of St Luke's in Ekibin as we await the response from BCC to our development application. I am reminded of the opening words of Luke's gospel: Since many have undertaken to set down an orderly account of the events that have bee

    Weekly letter from St Luke's - 8 October 2021

Dear Parish Friends Our services this Sunday are as usual at 7am and 9am, with the 9am service also being streamed over Zoom. See the links below for the weekly notice paper and order of service for the 9am service. We will be looking at the response of Jesus to the question "What must I do to inherit eternal life?' (Mark 10:17), and see that it is the question that is problematical. It is not something we 'do', but neither is it fully something that God 'does'. Remembe

    Weekly Letter from St Luke's - 1st October 2021

Dear Parish Friends Given the news from the Queensland Government Press Conference, where the latest clusters of COvid-19 infections appear to be under control, we expect to be able to gather together in church this Sunday. However we need to return to wearing masks throughout the services, and so we will go back to the changes we have been making for these circumstances. Don't forget the Car Boot Sale on Saturday morning from 7am. This is going ahead, with precautions taken
