Continuing our Lenten journey we this week read of the anointing of David as King of Israel, who in may ways was a foreshadowing of Jesus as he turned expectations upside down. The in the gospels we read of Jesus healing a man born blind and see that Jesus, as the light of the world, came to address not just physical blindness, but spiritual blindness as well, with the latter being much harder.
Our services on Sunday are as usual at 7am and 9am (with Children's Church and Zoom streaming). During the season of Lent I encourage you to arrive for he service early for, at 5 minutes to the hour I will ring the church bell and invite you to a time of silent prayer and reflection before we sing our opening hymn. The weekly notices and the 9am service sheet are available via the buttons below.
In the church calendar, this Sunday is also Mothering Sunday, when we remember both mother church and those who play a mothering role to us. We will celebrate this with Simnal Cake at both services.
With blessings,
Rev'd Timothy
