Weekly letter from St Luke's - 26 January 2024

Dear Parish Friends

Moving on in our Epiphany journey we come this week to Jesus teaching and healing in the synagogue at Capernaum. Those who were there, says Mark, were astounded at Jesus' authority. Both in the words that he says, in that did not cite other sources but spoke his own truth, and in his actions in healing the man with an unclean spirit. The epiphany message here is that Jesus is bringing something new to the world, and still does in our present day.

Sunday morning's services are as usual at 7am (Holy Communion) and 9am (Family Communion with Zoom streaming). The notice paper and 9am service sheet are available via the links below.

We have another working bee on Saturday morning (8am-12) to continue the hall clear out. There is another large skip to fill! All welcome.
